I have a sound problem in my game. If I start it up, it works fine for a while, but shortly after, half the sound effects just go! I can't hear the 'Psssht' of the launched freefall, I can't hear the 'ching' of cash, or when someone uses a toilet. I know it's just a little thing, but It's quite annoying.

But the weird thing is, that when I start it up, or minimise it and re-open it, those sound effects ware there for about 30 seconds, then they just go. Can anyone help?

You might try going into the options and messing with the sound options a little bit (perhaps changing the driver/device the game uses). Do you have the game completely installed to your pc or are you running from cd?

Running from CD. I didn't know you could have it installed completely on your PC. Is that "Image file" stuff?

When you first install the game you choose either "full install" or "minimal install". Sorry for not using the right words the first time. Which one did you choose.

Do sounds not work correctly in any other games? Let's try a directx sound test. Go to start and click Run. Type in dxdiag. Select the sound tab and click "Test DirectSound". Do you pass the Direct X test? If you don't pass try updating your sound card drivers.

If you click on the ride you want to hear the noise from and make it where you are listening to it (double click on the first tab) can you hear it (be sure to cycle through the views...station, train, etc.)?
